Now That You Know
OK – now that you know where your power lies. It is time for you to find out what your real power is. You see, most people think that the government controls everything. In fact – they do not – the sovereigns do. That’s right; all sovereigns that make up WE THE PEOPLE are in charge. They are the ones who created the government how is it possible for the government to control them? It can’t, and once they realize that fact we can begin fixing them problems. So, all you sovereigns reading this and all you people about to become sovereigns again, there are some documents you should be reading.
Your powers are well known and acknowledged in the founding documents of this great country of ours. The first step to re-attaining your freedom is to read and understand these documents. Start with the Magna Carter since it was probably the most influential document setting the basis of “common law”. From there
Continue on to:
1. The Declaration of Independence (July 4, 1776)
2. The British response to the Declaration (Sept. 19, 1776)
3. The Articles of Confederation (Nov. 15, 1777)
4. The Constitution of the United States of America (1787)
5. The Bill of Rights (August 24, 1789)
You should read each of the documents and look at them from a Libertarian perspective. When you do so you will find that the Constitution is not the great document you revere so much but really a usurpation of your sovereign powers by our forefathers. Sorry, yes, you read it correctly. Take a real close look at the Constitution and the Articles of Confederation. Show me where the Constitution supersedes the Articles and I might be willing to listen to your arguments of the contrary.
As Libertarians, we are the most principled people in the world. It is important enough to recognize what those principles are and how we are suppose to look at them. Take a look at how the Constitution was created and ask yourself if its very creation follows our principles. Ahh – now you are thinking – good for you. Keep investigating and understanding what really happened back then and see how its consequences are the resultant government we have today.
Now ask yourself: “What can we do about it?” When you come up with that answer you now have the knowledge of what our party should really be all about. Are we following that path? Are we all about that answer? Are we even a part of that answer? If not, then we are going down the wrong path. The entire party is going down the wrong path….WE CAN CHANGE THE PATH IF WE CHOOSE TO DO SO.
And that my friend is where we should be heading – down the correct path. The path that leads to Liberty, not just gives lib service to it. Over the course of the centuries we have lost sight of those principles. We need to find out what they are and begin teaching others about them. We need to show there are alternatives to being government slaves.
