The Ramblings of a Political Lunatic - Now That You Know
Now That You Know
OK – now that you know where your power lies. It is time for you to find out what your real power is. You see, most people think that the government controls everything. In fact – they do not – the sovereigns do. That’s right; all sovereigns that make up WE THE PEOPLE are in charge. They are the ones who created the government how is it possible for the government to control them? It can’t, and once they realize that fact we can begin fixing them problems. So, all you sovereigns reading this and all you people about to become sovereigns again, there are some documents you should be reading.
Your powers are well known and acknowledged in the founding documents of this great country of ours. The first step to re-attaining your freedom is to read and understand these documents. Start with the Magna Carter since it was probably the most influential document setting the basis of “common law”. From there

You should read each of the documents and look at them from a Libertarian perspective. When you do so you will find that the Constitution is not the great document you revere so much but really a usurpation of your sovereign powers by our forefathers. Sorry, yes, you read it correctly. Take a real close look at the Constitution and the Articles of Confederation. Show me where the Constitution supersedes the Articles and I might be willing to listen to your arguments of the contrary.
As Libertarians, we are the most principled people in the world. It is important enough to recognize what those principles are and how we are suppose to look at them. Take a look at how the Constitution was created and ask yourself if its very creation follows our principles. Ahh – now you are thinking – good for you. Keep investigating and understanding what really happened back then and see how its consequences are the resultant government we have today.
Now ask yourself: “What can we do about it?” When you come up with that answer you now have the knowledge of what our party should really be all about. Are we following that path? Are we all about that answer? Are we even a part of that answer? If not, then we are going down the wrong path. The entire party is going down the wrong path….WE CAN CHANGE THE PATH IF WE CHOOSE TO DO SO.
And that my friend is where we should be heading – down the correct path. The path that leads to Liberty, not just gives lib service to it. Over the course of the centuries we have lost sight of those principles. We need to find out what they are and begin teaching others about them. We need to show there are alternatives to being government slaves.

The Ramblings of a Political Lunatic - Well, now what?
Well, now what?
OK – so we have to ADJUST OUR ATTITUDE, just what does that mean and how does it help us stop the bleeding? I am glad that you are asking yourself that question because the answer will probably be the next thing that pisses a lot of you off – even if it is true.
You see, most of us do not even know what we are in the eyes of the government. You of course cannot fix anything you think is wrong until you know who or what you are. By knowing who you are you can determine what you can and cannot do based on what authority you have for yourself. It is fully a perception game and the government perceives you one way – if that way is wrong – you must let the government KNOW that fact. There is no way for you to tell the government that UNLESS YOU KNOW IT YOURSELF.
So, do you know what type of citizen are you?
And what is your role in government?
There are TWO types of citizens in this country. There are Sovereigns and there are United States citizens. Which one are you? THINK before you answer, because if you do not know the difference then you might be selecting the wrong one, or even worse, you might claim you are both.
YOU ARE NOT BOTH
In the eyes of the government you are either one or the other. To your detriment, the government assumes you are a US Citizen. They do this because they have CONTROL over ALL United States Citizens.
THEY DO NOT CONTROL SOVEREIGNS.
Since we are all supposed to be good little Libertarians that want the government to be run according to the Constitution, then we better recognize a few things.
The Constitution, when it was written was written for TWO different types of people; the free people (sovereigns – that control the government) and the government people (US citizens – that are controlled by the government). By virtue of the first three words of the preamble, “We the people”, it should have signified to everyone reading the document that “we the people” was one group of people and they were addressing another group of people. We the people are the SOVEREIGN people who dwell within the outer borders of the United States of America. The other groups of people are the NON-SOVEREIGN people (the government controlled people).
ALL non sovereign people come under the jurisdiction of the federal government. The Constitution should have made this clear. Evidently that wasn’t the case and so Amendment 14 was created to help clarify the issue. Amendment 14 section 1 first sentence states
All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the state wherein they reside.
This is an absolutely clear definition of a United States citizen. One would bold well for themselves to read this again. Note the “or” and the “and” that are used. As you can see the definition of this person is quite different then what is implied of “We the people”. This definition explicitly calls out
1. born or naturalized
2. AND subject to the jurisdiction of
So you need to ask yourself if you fit into this category. That “AND” has very significant meaning. Many, many, many of you will assume that since you are natural born you fall into this category AND you would all be wrong UNLESS the second part (the jurisdiction question) is fulfilled. The same many of you will assume that YES that part is true – BUT IT IS NOT.
All law is JURISDICTIONAL…that includes Federal Law. Who falls under the jurisdiction of Federal Law. There are two types of laws, positive law and non-positive law. All positive law, along with the Constitution has equal weight to everyone in all 50 states. All non-positive law ONLY applies to citizens of the United States. You may be a natural born person but unless you work for the government or reside on their property YOU ARE NOT UNDER THEIR JURISDICTION.
Don’t loose what I just said. NOT all law created by the federal government is positive law. If you go to the law books or web sites and look at the US Code. ONLY the ones with an “*” by them are positive law. All other laws are non-positive in nature and apply ONLY where the federal government has jurisdiction.
Remember Amendment Ten which states
The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the states, are reserved to the states respectively, or to the people.
This should tell you that ONLY those things spelled out in the Constitution by the people are what apply. Anything else beyond that does NOT have jurisdiction as that jurisdiction was reserved to the states and people respectively. This is what gives us the power OVER the federal government. We do NOT exist or exercise their rights. We have our own and ours are superior to theirs. We do not exist because the federal government said we can – they exist because we ALLOW them to exist – and we can abolish them at any time – don’t believe it – go back and read the founding documents. And no – the Constitution did not replace those documents.
For some reason, we the people seem to have forgotten that. It is time we start to remember it and start acting accordingly. The Constitution gives us all the power we need to exercise over the federal government. We simply have to begin exercising that power instead of living in fear of the government.
We do NOT live by their rules or their laws because we do not fall under their jurisdiction. So I have to ask myself why so many people do it. The answer is really quite simple. They are ignorant of the law. The old saying, ignorance of the law is no excuse, really applies here. Now that you are no longer ignorant, are you willing to continue living under their rule or are you going to begin living like the sovereign you were meant to be?
Do not take my word for any of this. Look up the facts. Find the laws. Find where they have jurisdiction and where they don’t. Ask yourself, why does the federal government need a local sheriff to do anything in Florida? Why is it that local police always make the arrest first and then hand people over to the federal government? If the federal government had jurisdiction why don’t they just enforce the law themselves without the aide of local sheriffs?
More to follow, I will try to find the definitions and quotes in the laws. I know people will think I am a conspiracy nut but I am not the making this up. This is all in black and white within the laws that are currently written. Stop being ignorant; once you know the truth you cannot go back to living a lie. Learn the truth, break the chains that bind you, live like the sovereign you were meant to be – live free.

The Ramblings of a Political Lunatic - So, what’s first?
So, what’s first?
There are a number of things that need to be done. We need to begin educating people on what Libertarianism is. We need to get people into office. We need to raise money. We need to build a base of supporters. We need to do a whole lot of things. Prior to doing ANY of those things we need to JUST OUR ATTITUDE.
Yes, you read it right. And yes, this is probably only the first in a string of things I might say that will piss people off. Regardless of how you feel about what I say, the facts are the facts; it is what YOU and other Libertarians decide to do with them that will determine the fate of the party.
Libertarians are very principled people. Perhaps they are the most principled people in the world. The rift in the party after the platform changes a few years back should have woken up the national party to that fact. Unfortunately, it did not.
While we may be the most principled people, we are also the most assuming. We ASSUME that when we see something wrong everyone else sees it too. We ASSUME that when we want it changed that everyone else wants it changed too. We ASSUME that things which are obvious to us are obvious to everyone else. We ASSUME that the changes should be so obvious that we want them to occur instantly. We all know that assume makes an ASS out of U and ME.
Government rules by acquiescence (people ask for their help and end up slaves) or by conquest (do it or we will punish the bad slave). In either case, WE ARE THE SLAVES. So long as we continue to deal with the government on the government’s terms we will remain their slaves. We need to realize that WE THE PEOPLE control the government and not the other way around. Until people begin to understand that fact and live IN that fact, we will always remain where we are today.
We need to STOP the growth of government before we can shrink government. We cannot stop the growth of government if we play by the governments rules. It must be the other way around.
Think of the country like a body. If a body has a severe cut and was bleeding profusely until its heart stopped, what would you do? Would you get the heart going again or would you stop the bleeding? Most people will say “get the heart going again”. Of course – this is the wrong answer. Once the heart is going again the blood will pour out of the body. WE MUST STOP THE BLEEDING FIRST. That means we MUST stop the growth of government first before anything else. We don’t need people in office to do this.
As Libertarians, most of us believe that if we can get people into office we can change the world. This might be true, but it won’t just “happen”. You have to have a plan of attack. You have to have people willing to carry out that plan. You have to have strategies in place that can handle the changes. It is NOT necessary to have people in office to effect change. You just need to begin educating people and get them to hold the government accountable for their actions. Once that is done you can get people into office that will do their job right.
Again – we must stop the bleeding first – then move on to getting the heart re-started. This should be the current and primary focus of the Libertarian Party. Everything we do should be geared toward that direction. If this election cycle shows us nothing else it should have proven to everyone that people are fed up with the government that they will grab at anything to make it better. Even if that means they put a worse person in to power then the people already there.
The Republican Party is fractured. Many of their people came over to the Libertarian party a few years back. They wanted to have the Libertarian party a little more moderate then it was and set out to change the party platform. That change splintered the Libertarian Party and allowed Bob Barr to run in this election cycle. We can all see where that got us. It is time to return to the party principles and time to put together a plan that will work. NOTE: I did say a plan…not just complaining but actual action items that will work toward a specific goal. It is time to stop the bleeding.

The Ramblings of a Political Lunatic
Introduction
Hi, my name is jim kearney. If you are not living in or near Broward County, Florida the chances are you probably don’t know me. There are a few out there that might remember me from other places, by and large; I have become politically active here in Broward. I use the word “lunatic” because our current political realm is enough to drive anyone crazy with their idiotic insanity. Of course, my ramblings will try to make some sort of sense out of everything that is going on and will attempt to put some order to it so that you can see a clearer picture of what is happening in the world around you.
Not everyone will subscribe to my view points. I would venture to say, I might even piss off some of you readers. None-the-less, what ever you feel, it won’t change any of the facts that will be presented. You will need to decide for yourself whether you believe my view or not. You are in charge of your life and what you believe. I am just presenting the case. You will determine your own course of actions on how you want to handle your future.
For those of you who don’t know me, I am a Libertarian. I have been a Libertarian all my life (even though I didn’t know that for most of it). The issues I am about to bring forth are about what “I” perceive to be the shortcomings of the Libertarian Party and what the Party can do about it.
I have not yet been in contact with anyone at the national level regarding anything I am about to say here. The thought process that “all politics is local” tends to say to me that we should determine what works here in Broward first. Fix the issues here and then spread the wealth of new found results about what worked and what didn’t. If we can figure out what do to here and prove it works then we have a foundation to base fixing everything.
So, many of you are probably asking yourself “What the heck is he rambling on about?” The Libertarian party is nothing but a bunch of pot smoking conservatives. LOL – well – I wouldn’t categorize us in that manner but I must admit I do hear that a lot – LOL.
I will make it easy for you to understand. As a Libertarian I believe that everyone should be allowed to live their life as they see fit so long as they don’t use force or fraud to do it. If you believe this and live by this then you are a Libertarian whether you admit it or not.
We know that not everyone will get along in a society. To do so would require that 100 percent of the people are responsible for 100 percent of their actions 100 percent of the time and that all 100 percent of them know it 100 percent of the time. The probability of this happening is almost nil. It is so close to nil that it can be said that some form of mediator would be necessary to settle disputes – thus government is formed.
Governments should be in power to protect its citizenry from force or fraud. Anything beyond that is beyond the scope of government. As such, governments should be kept as small as possible and as limited in power as possible. To that end, people elect representatives who will fight for them in the halls of government.
The two party system as broke all of this in the United States. It will take a third party to wake up and do something about it if we are to save this country. The Libertarian party needs to play the part of the doctor and fix this country. If not, this country will continue its dying ways and our way of life, our freedoms will all disappear into the socialistic abyss as we march toward world government.

As such, governments should be kept as small as possible and as limited in power as possible. To that end, people elect representatives who will fight for them in the halls of government.
The two party system as broke all of this in the United States. It will take a third party to wake up and do something about it if we are to save this country. The Libertarian party needs to play the part of the doctor and fix this country. If not, this country will continue its dying ways and our way of life, our freedoms will all disappear into the socialistic abyss as we march toward world government.
